Black Friday (n): The shop-a-thon of the year, filled with great deals and coffee-drunken people up at midnight without any manners whatsoever. "If you're a fan of good health, don't go shopping on Black Friday!"
Chicago (n): An old rock group that really knows how to use a trumpet. Have a listen:

Class Fads (n): Fads started up without help from a megalopolis company at school (what's the term....grassroots?). They include games, clubs, self-publishing, movements, and more. "Magical Llama Beans was a rather outrageous class fad from CJ's 5th grade year."
Cooltext (n): A really cool logo making site. Check it out: www.cooltext.com "CJ's blog header usually comes from Cooltext."
Cousin Studios (n): A movie making "company" CJ and her cousins created that makes everything from spoofs on popular TV shows to silent movies to advertisements. "CJ hoped her camera would start working soon so she could make Cousin Studios movies on the next road trip."
Cousin Tour (n): A road trip of varying length that CJ takes most years to visit as many cousins as possible. "Don't expect any blog posts from CJ-she's on the Cousin Tour and everyone's probably trying to play Plants vs. Zombies wherever she is."
Cyber Monday (n): The online equivalent of Black Friday. "I was up late on Cyber Monday trying to get a new laptop on (insert company here)'s website."
DI (n): A ridiculously fun and creative afterschool program turned competition. More information here. "CJ's DI challenge last year was to present a story to three different audiences in three different ways with a 'Technical Spectacle'."
Eraser City (n): A town that CJ and her friends came up with, only all the inhabitants were erasers. Also a popular class fad. "Tiny Tim is the smallest eraser in Eraser City."
Finger Cramp (n): A terrible hand pain achieved from too much keyboarding. "You could tell she was working hard on typing those sentences-she told me she had finger cramp."
GA Fundraising (n): A magazine sale that raises money for the school-and can get you limo rides, pizza, candy, parties, Ipads, cash, and cute little plastic animals depending on how much you sell. "I got to go to a slam dunk show because I sold 8 magazines during GA Fundraising."
Glider PRO (n): A computer game for Macs that involves piloting a paper airplane through houses, picking up prizes, avoiding obstacles, and getting stars in a series of houses. It's a lot of fun! Here's a video:

Honey Badger Madness (n): A short period of time during CJ's 6th grade year when all her friends were obsessing over honey badgers and naming EVERYTHING after them. "I did my book report on a book about honey badgers-I guess Honey Badger Madness was getting to me."
Ketchup Post (n): A usually long blog post that occurs after a long period of no posts, so CJ's loyal followers can catch up. (Or ketchup.) "I was happy to see that CJ had put up a Ketchup Post after going a whole month without blogging."
Lays Boycott Club (n): A boycott CJ and her friends formed in an effort to increase the chips in Lays bags that also involved sending a letter to Frito Lay and making some pretty cool protest buttons.
